La Bête

Show Program

Written by David Hirson

Harbourfront Centre Theatre

235 Queens Quay West, Toronto

In a comic whirlwind of high style, La Bête tells the story of Elomire, a 17th century French playwright, and his touring acting troupe who have come to lead the high life due to the patronage of the fickle Prince of Conti. Sparks fly when Valere, a swaggering braggart with delusions of artistic grandeur, becomes the Prince's choice to join Elomire's troupe. It is a battle of wits and witticisms as the two face off in this outrageous commentary on the nature of art and the artist in society.

"Nadajewski gives a virtuoso performance..." –Christopher Hoile, Stage Door Review

"Dylan Trowbridge finely directs this production with pristine class and utmost wit." –Joe Szekeres, Our Theatre Voice

"Talk Is Free Theatre is a place that does this kind of work, beautifully..." –Lynn Slotkin, The Slotkin Letter

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
