The Curious Voyage

For immersive theatre aficionados, culture vultures, musical theatre buffs, and adventure seekers, The Curious Voyage was the ultimate experience as viewer became participant. Staged in two versions: a 1-day adventure for audiences local to London, England; and a 3-day experience taking audiences from Barrie, Ontario to London, England and back. The unique journey unfolded through one-on-one exchanges, surprise interactions, and installations devised for one voyager at a time. The maze-like narrative of encounters with performers and clues throughout the city culminated in a stunning site-specific rendition of a Tony Award-winning musical which was kept secret from voyagers until the very first line was sung. Spoiler alert: it was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street; Book by Hugh Wheeler, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

The Province of Ontario requires proof of vaccination to attend all indoor theatre events. Please note that we will require:
-Proof of Vaccination & Valid ID upon entry.
-Patrons complete a Covid-19 Self-Assessment for contact tracing purposes.
-Patrons wear their mask at all times when in the building (except when actively eating or drinking)
Only book tickets if you have received your second vaccination at least 14 days prior to the performance. If you do not have proof of vaccination and proof of identity, unfortunately, you will not be allowed access to the building.
Free Admission Policy
A security charge of $0.01 CAD is required to validate booking. Patrons can cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before the performance without charge. Please email admin@tift.ca to make any changes.
In the event a patron fails to cancel or make alternate changes and does not attend the performance, a $25.00 charge will be applied per ticket to the patron’s credit card. This charge will be used as a donation to the theatre and a tax receipt will be issued.
UPDATED COVID-19 POLICY: Due to the nature of our programming, in addition to the Ontario government's ongoing mask mandate, Talk Is Free Theatre WILL CONTINUE to require proof of vaccination after February 28, 2022 and reserves the right to implement other safety measures as necessary. We will do our best to keep you informed, as safety measures can change at any time.
